Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program

 

California American University developed the Master of Public Administration degree program to present students with an overview of modern American management theory. It is intended for those employed in or seeking careers in the public and nonprofit sectors. Like CAU's other programs it is organized and presented for the fully employed adult learner. Our goal is to assist each student in integrating this formal training with his or her own work experiences.

The Master of Public Administration degree program requires students to take a minimum of 60-quarter units. A student studying for the MPA degree can select classes for professional purposes in one or more of the four elective areas listed below. To obtain the MPA degree, the student must take: a) the 12 required core courses, and b) 3 courses from the elective list.
