Application Process for International Students

If you are not currently located in the United States, you may apply for admission to California American University by following the steps described below.  This information is also available in Chinese (中文) and Japanese (日本語).

  1. Download, complete, and sign our Application Form.

  2. Submit all application fees.  To pay by wire transfer from a foreign country, please contact our Admissions Office for wire account information.  Applicants are responsible for any and all bank service charges.

    • $200 Application Fee​

    • $300 Overseas Application Fee

    • $2500 Tuition Deposit

  3. Provide the following required documents to our Admissions Office:​

    • Application Form​

    • Passport copy

    • Official Transcript (in English), proof of TOEFL score ( 65 or higher)

    • Diploma copy from your highest degree (in English)

    • Proof of financial support: $30,000 USD (e.g. bank statement)

    • Proof of payment of the fees listed above ($3000 USD total)

    • Your foreign address.

We will process your application when we receive all the required documents listed above. If required documents are not provided at once, the application may not be accepted.

SEVIS I-20 will be issued after the whole application process is reviewed, completed, and accepted. CAU is not responsible for any SEVIS charge. Students are responsible for SEVIS I-901 fee and visa fees.
